David, the principal solicitor of Ryken and Associates has 20 years experience as a barrister and solicitor. After a number of years working for a well-known human rights law firm specialising in immigration and refugee law and employment law, David set up his own business in 1995. He is now joined by three staff solicitors, an immigration consultant and three ancillary staff.
David is a member of a number of committees and regularly writes papers both for conferences in New Zealand and internationally. David has a reading knowledge in a number of European languages.
David has experience in all types of immigration cases and has been involved as counsel or as instructing solicitor in some leading cases. As senior counsel, David is available to give advice at any time concerning difficulties that might arise in cases conducted by his staff. By instructing Ryken and Associates clients get the benefit of having access to senior counsel should the need arise.
